FTP

 . Stands for File Transfer Protocol.
 . Fast and convinient way to transfer files over internet.
 . To transfer files via FTP, you need to establish FTP connection.
 . To make FTP connection, we use standard Web browser or FTP clients.

FTP Software:

 Designed to transfer files back and forth between computer and server over internet.
 . Examples: File Zilla, Cyberduck, Transmit etc.
 Needs to be installed in computer.
 . Using FTP software, uploading or downloading a file is really easy.
 . Provides lot of extra features.
 . Can drag and drop files easily.

FileZilla Server:

 Step 1: Download and install FileZilla Server in the computer where you want others to access folders from.

 Step 2: Open Control Panel and choose Turn Windows features on or off.

Step 3: Select Internet Information Services and FTP related check boxes.

Step 4: Open Windows Firewall and click Allow an App.

Step 5: Give Public and Private access to FileZilla Server.

Step 6: Turn Off Windows Firewall.

Step 7: Open FileZilla Server and Connect.

 Step 8: 
  . Click on Edit menu and choose Users.
  It is used to add Users to access files from this server.


Step 9: 
   Add users and click on Shared folders.
   Browse the folders you want to share and give permissions to files like Read, Write etc.
   Click OK.

FileZilla Client:

 Step 1: Download and install FileZilla Client in the computer to connect to your server.

 Step 2:
   . Open FileZilla Client and type the host address of server.
   Type Username and Password and click on Quickconnect.

 Step 3:
   Now you will be able to see that you are connected.
   Left of panel shows files, folders on server.
   Right of panel shows files on remote computer.
   . Can drag and drop files.
You can download by clicking on a file > Right Click > Download.

 . You can upload by clicking on file > Right Click > Upload.

IIS

 . FTP is a standard protocol for moving files from one computer to another over internet.
 . Files are stored on a server computer which runs FTP server software.
 . Remote computers connect using FTP and read / copy files to server.

IIS as FTP server:

 Step 1: Open Control Panel and choose Turn Windows features on or off.
  
Step 2: Select Internet Information Services and FTP related check boxes.

Step 3: Now go to Administrative Tools and double click on Internet Information Service Manager.

Step 4:
   . Go to Connections in the left side.

   . Click on the extension of computer.
   . Right click on Sites.
   . Add New FTP Site.

Step 5: Give Name and Path to your FTP Site.

Step 6: Give IP address and select No SSL.

Step 7:
  . Choose Authentication as Basic.
  . Specify Authorization by choosing from drop-down menu.

Step 8: Creating users to allow them.
  a. Go to Control Panel and select User Accounts.
 b. Click on Manage another account.
  c. Click on Add a new user in PC settings.
  d. Click on Add someone else to this PC.
  e. If you want to create an account using Microsoft credentials, type in the box else, click on 'I don't have this person's sign-in information.
  f. Click on Add a user without Microsoft account.
  g. Now Create an account by giving Username and Password.

Step 9: Now add this user which makes him/her allowed to access shared files by giving permissions.

Accessing from remote Computer:

 Step 1: 
   . Type ip address in browser. ( Ex: ftp://192.168.0.145)
   . Enter User credentials.
  
Step 2: It shows the folder which is shared to access from your account.







Joinme

 It is web-based collaboration software application for screen-sharing and online meetings.
 . It is available in Mobile ( Android, iOS) devices too.
 . Free version allows only 10 participants to join meeting.
 . Pro is a paid version allows upto 250 participants.

 . Can schedule meetings and send invitations directly or through Outlook or Google Calendar.
 . Can record meetings.
 . Join conference calls.
 . Share screens and screen control.
 . Pass presenter roles.
 . Multiple screen sharing.

Start a Meeting:

Step 1: Go to www.joinme.com and create an account.
 Step 2: Set personal link to make others join your meeting.
 Step 3: In Users menu, add team of meeting to account.
 Step 4: Send invitation to team members.
 Step 5: To schedule meeting, click on Schedule tab, add details regarding meeting.
 Step 6: Now start meeting by clicking on start button.
Changing audio mode: Click on the audio icon to change audio settings.
 Inviting others: 
More options: You can pass presenter role or record using more options.

To join Meeting:

Step 1: Click on the link which is sent to mail from organizer.
Step 2: Enter your name and click Join.
 Step 3: Organizer needs to approve the joining.
Step 4: Now you can view desktop of the organizer and participate in meeting.
